Western Energy Alliance Hosts Former Speaker Newt Gingrich
Independent Oil & Natural Gas Producers Evaluate Political Landscape and America's Future Energy Policy
(DENVER) – On Wednesday, October 10, 2012, Western Energy Alliance will host former U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Newt Gingrich for an address to members of the western oil and natural gas community. Gingrich's presentation will center on the importance of the 2012 election and what the different outcomes could mean for America's energy policy. The event is open to credentialed media and will begin at 4:00 p.m. at the Ritz-Carlton hotel located at 1881 Curtis Street, Denver, Colorado.
"It's time for a new dialogue on energy policy," said Tim Wigley, President of Western Energy Alliance. "The old storyline of U.S. energy dependency predicated on the "scarcity" of hydrocarbons has been thrown out the window. America has a unique opportunity to lead the world in energy production and benefit from all the great paying jobs that come with it," continued Wigley. "We are honored to hear from someone as experienced and respected as Speaker Gingrich to learn about what types of policies are needed to realize this energy and economic potential in the West," concluded Wigley.
Credential media are invited to this event and should RSVP to Jon Haubert, Manager of Communications by 12:00 p.m. today.
Tim Wigley, President of Western Energy Alliance, will be available for questions after the event.
