DENVER -- Western Energy Alliance announced today Esther Wagner joined its staff as manager of government affairs with a focus on public lands, air and water quality, and wildlife policies. Wagner brings 19 years of government affairs and stakeholder relations experience including working for an industry trade association in Wyoming and as a senior policy advisory to a member of Congress. “Esther brings deep experience working in the community in Wyoming and on natural resource policies in Congress. She understands the environment and the issues, and she can advocate for sensible solutions to our current energy crisis,” said Kathleen Sgamma, president of Western Energy Alliance. “She’ll be a valuable asset while supporting our member organizations and spreading the Alliance’s positive messages of responsible energy development.” Previously, Wagner served as senior policy advisor for energy and lands for Rep. Liz Cheney. For eight years, she worked for the Petroleum Association of Wyoming where she focused on public lands and wildlife policies. Prior to that she worked at Devon Energy where she managed community outreach programs. Wagner earned a bachelor’s in communications from the University of Wyoming. # # #
